The mission of the Wisconsin Humane Society (WHS) is to build a community where people value animals and treat them with respect and kindness. For over 130 years, WHS has been saving the lives of animals in need and is the largest and most recognized shelter in Wisconsin.  WHS receives no government funding and is not part of any national umbrella organization, relying entirely on the generosity of the community for support.
