The mission of the Arthritis Foundation is to support research to find the cure for and prevention of arthritis and to improve the quality of life for those affected by arthritis. Since 1948 the Arthritis Foundation has been the only national, nonprofit health organization that offers a wide variety of programs and services. Support of both federal and private research efforts is a high priority for the Foundation. Until research finds cures for arthritis, the Greater Illinois Chapter offers you and your family information and support. The Chapter also sponsors many activities to help people manage their arthritis, improve day-to-day functioning and lead more independent and satisfying lives. |
