For the Love of Animals is a nonprofit, all
volunteer organization dedicated to preventing
abandonment, abuse and animal overpopulation. FLOA
knows that education is essential to reversing the
critical situation whereby thousands of innocent animals are
abused, euthanized and abandoned daily. To help
counteract the situation, FLOA developed and founded the
Wags and Whiskers program. The purpose of the
program is to educate the public and especially children.
Volunteer teachers go to the schools to help children
discover the joys and responsibilities of animal ownership
through a specifically designed "hands-on"
