Veterans for Peace is a global organization that stands for peace and supports those who have fought for our freedoms. Their collective effort is to build a culture of peace by lifting their voices and creating experiences. You can find out how to donate your car to help the cause of freedom. Veterans for peace inform the public of the true causes of war and the enormous costs involved. They feel an obligation to help heal the wounds from war for veterans and victims. This network consists of 140 chapters worldwide and their work includes:
- Educating the public
- Advocating for a dismantling of the war economy
- Providing services that assist victims and veterans of war
- Working to end ALL wars
What makes someone a Veteran?
A veteran is ANY person who has served for ANY period of time in ANY branch of the military.
Who is a Veteran of War?
Any Government serviceperson ordered to foreign soils to participate in direct enemy activity or support the war efforts. Any GI (Government Issue) sent in harm’s way.
What does “Combat Veteran” mean?
A combat veteran is any GI who experiences any level of hostility for any duration of time resulting from offensive, defensive or friendly fire action involving any real or perceived enemy in any foreign theater.
