The mission of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) is to cure Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, and to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases.
How Your Donation Helps
Since its founding over four decades ago, CCFA has remained at the forefront of research in Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. Today, CCFA funds cutting-edge studies at major medical institutions, nurture investigators at the early stages of their careers, and finance underdeveloped areas of research. In addition, CCFA’s educational workshops and programs, along with our scientific journal, Inflammatory Bowel Diseases, enable medical professionals to keep pace with this rapidly growing field. CCFA is very proud that theNational Institutes of Health has commended CCFA for “uniting the research community and strengthening IBD research.”
Your Donation at Work
The Foundation consistently meets standards established by the Better Business Bureau Wise Giving Alliance as well as other charity watchdog organizations.
Over 1.4 million Americans suffer from Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis, collectively known as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). We do not yet know the cause, and, despite the development of promising new medications, we still don’t have a cure. Your donation will help fund critical research for improving treatment and finding a cure for IBD, as well as support programs for those who live with these diseases every day. We depend solely on private donations to fund these vital programs.
