Project Second Chance, the Contra Costa County Library Adult Literacy Program, offers free, one-on-one tutoring to people who are over 16, and are not enrolled in school, and who speak English and want to improve their basic reading, writing and spelling skills. Instruction is provided by trained volunteers. Student/tutor pairs meet twice a week, for an hour and a half each time, at public locations throughout the County. |
