The Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is a nonprofit 501 (c) [3] humane organization whose purpose is to promote, through education and direct action, the welfare of companion animals, particularly dogs and cats, by reducing the number of unwanted pets, encouraging the humane treatment of animals and teaching an appreciation of the human/animal bond. The SPCA is committed to placing healthy pets with good temperaments into loving homes where they will receive lifelong care. We expect responsible pet guardianship from adopters so that sharing life with a companion animal will be an enjoyable, rewarding experience for both person and pet. |
